Experts from across and beyond the SEAO2-CDR consortia provide short introductory ‘Masterclass’ talks on the array of topics that are related to mCDR. All of the webinars are designed to be accessible to non-specialists, thus provide an overview of the concepts, approaches and techniques that are currently being applied and considered during the project.

mCDR Coalition

The mCDR Coalition aims to support the responsible growth of marine carbon dioxide removal by bringing together global leaders across companies, nonprofits, and academic institutions. It provides a platform for knowledge-sharing and collaboration on mCDR across a variety of pathways and perspectives, helping to build relationships between leaders in science, conservation, and governance.

The coalition – the first dedicated forum of its kind for mCDR - was co-developed by the Carbon Business Council and the World Ocean Council and has been supported by the SEAO2-CDR project to help drive greater awareness, engagement, and international participation in the sector. It is also part of a broader initiative from the Carbon Business Council to support scaling carbon removal across a diversity of pathways.

Further information about the mCDR Coalition, including a list of active members and opportunities for additional organisations to join as the coalition grows, can be found here.
