Evaluation Framework

SEAO2-CDR is advancing our ability to responsibly consider the implementation potential of mCDR approaches by uniting scientific, social, legal and commercial knowledge to develop the tools, mechanisms and guidelines required to effectively and transparently evaluate the proposed techniques. Assessment frameworks and advancements are currently being facilitated in key areas through the project’s three core themes and work packages, with further information available here

Integration of these multidisciplinary considerations is critical for enabling mCDR techniques to be assessed and developed in a holistic manner. The SEAO2-CDR team is currently developing this combined framework, which will provide cross-sectoral support and guidance on the evaluation mechanisms and requirements needed to support environmentally safe, socially acceptable and economically viable mCDR implementation.
