A new article published in Open Access Government discusses why public and stakeholder perceptions are critical for shaping the future of marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR) as a climate mitigation approach.
Highlighting the insights being derived from the SEAO2CDR project, the article considers the current governance gaps associated with mCDR technologies and why communication and participation is vital for building frameworks for transparent and responsible ocean-based carbon dioxide removal.
